About Bad Digital Nomad

I care about having a good life abroad while doing the work that pays for it. The place matters, but so does how you spend an ordinary day there. An apartment needs to work for the job. Your spending needs to leave room for things you want to do and money you can keep aside.

Bad Digital Nomad is where I write about those decisions from my own experience. I cover rental workspaces and travel gear, along with the habits that affect how the lifestyle feels. Money comes into it too. Cooking at home and being more selective about restaurants helped me stretch what I earned. Earning more made a bigger difference, and I still needed to get better at saving.

I want the useful detail to make it into the writing. My stacked monitor, for example, makes sense to me because it gives me more screens on a small desk. Explaining how I use it helps you decide whether it belongs in your setup.

You can read this while planning a first move or after you've been abroad for a while. Take what applies to your situation. I'll explain the experience behind a recommendation so you can make that call.
