The beach office had a short run.
A proper chair has earned its place in the travel budget.
The beach-office idea does very little for me. I want a desk that fits my setup, somewhere I can hear a call, and a chair I can sit in through the working day.
I like having a place where I can sit down and do my work. Usually, that's the rental. If I'm taking calls, I have to think about the noise around me. When I'm bringing monitors, I need somewhere to put them.
The chair matters enough that I've become the guy studying the chair in the listing photos. This is apparently part of the adventure now.
There's a lot I enjoy about this life. I also spend a fair amount of it figuring out an ordinary workday. I want a setup that lets me finish what I'm doing so I can go outside.
